Studio Policies

Please read the following thoroughly. The policies defined have distinguished Avant-Garde School of Dance as a school of excellence. Further, it has established a standard for faculty, students, and supporting families.

Registration

Registration forms must be filled out before enrolling in classes. A $25 registration fee per child will be assessed upon enrollment.

Payment methods that are accepted:

Cash- Accepted in a sealed envelope with the students name.

Checks- Should contain all current information and students name. There will be a $25 fee for returned checks.

Credit Cards- Visa, Mastercard, and Diner's Club. Credit card payments will be assessed an additional 3% fee. You must notify AGSD no later than the 15th, of the prior month, if you would like to stop automatic credit card payments.

 

All payments may be made at the front desk or deposited into the tuition box, located at the front desk.

The studios school year is based on a monthly tuition schedule. Tuition is always the same regardless of the amount of weeks in a month.

No refunds will be given for holidays, absences, or weather closures. Missed classes (absenses due to illness or injury) may only be made up within the same month, however not during Observation Week. Make-up classes should be of the same discipline as the missed class.

Attendance

The progression of any young dancer is directly related to attendance. Repetition is vital to steady and consistent improvement. Further, it provides the necessary progression in technique and strength pertinent to healthy and proper training. Please arrive on time for each class. All classes begin with a warm up that diminishes the risk of injury. If students arrive more than 15 minutes late, student participation is at the instructors discretion.

Observation

Observation Week is an opportunity for family members to view their child's progress and for students to share their dedication and growing talent. This school year Observation Week will be held April 26th through May 1st, 2010.

Studio Closures

Labor Day~ September 7th 2009.

Thanksgiving Holiday~ November 26th-29th, 2009.

Winter Break~December 21st through January 3rd, 2009.

Spring Break~ March 29th through April 4th, 2010.

 

In the event of inclement weather (resulting in poor driving conditions), please call the studio for a recording to see if classes will be held.
