“ My wife and I first met Lance and Amy a few months before they opened Avant-Garde. They were doing some dance instruction for the studio that our daughter attended previously. We were so impressed with both of them, that when we heard they were opening their own studio, we knew that's where we wanted our daughter to be. The quality of the dance instruction is absolutely superb, but there’s more to it than just that. They have treated our daughter with the utmost care and respect. Our daughter loves dancing for them, and she has come a long way under their guidance. There is not enough space here to truly convey how happy we are with Avant-Garde. If you are looking for dance instruction or pilates, I don’t see how you could possibly be disappointed if you choose this studio. If for some reason they decided to pick up and move the studio to Albuquerque, we would have to figure out some way to commute, because there is no way we would want our daughter going anywhere else. ”

“Avant-Garde School of Dance is one of a kind. I started my 15 year old in ballet class at age 5. The teacher would scold her and that class turned her off to dance. Now that she is in high school and involved in musical theater, she decided she needed some dance instruction. Lance and Amy have made a convert out of her. If not for the commitment to the musical at school, she would be dancing at Avant-Garde every night of the week. They have instilled amazing confidence in her in the past year. She performed her first dance recital at 14 under the instruction of Andi, and did so believing she is a dancer. Lance and Amy truly see the best in every one of their students and gently coach each one toward their personal best. I take Pilates from Amy and can only say that it rejuvenates my body, mind, and soul. Simply put, I can not say enough good things about Avant-Garde School of Dance. ”

“I was very excited when I first took my eldest daughter, then 4, to the Avant-Garde School of Dance. It was a newly-opened dance studio, and Amy and Lance very warmly welcomed my daughter with one-on-one individual instruction. The dance studio has grown since, but the personalized attention has not waned. (I have also since then enrolled my younger daughter). I am very impressed with the unique combination of professionalism and genuine concern for and patience with the kids. They have made dance lessons even more fun for my girls. Frankly, I don't know what amy and Lance love more-dance or kids. You should see the dedication they have towards nurturing,guiding, and inspiring these kids. “I wish there were more than five stars to give!!!! We were so thrilled when Avant-Garde School of Dance opened its doors. Our daughter has been dancing since the age of 2 1/2 and we have been to several dance studios across Colorado. Unfortunately no studio could provide her with everything a young dancer needs, that is of course until Avant-Garde. She not only gets the very best professional instruction, but also teachers who genuinely care for her and help her with life skills she will use in the dance world and in every day life. Amy and Lance always have time to address the needs of every student and their parents. Their Pilates instruction is hands down the best rehab I could have, after my back injury. My son is five and loves tap lessons and looks forward to it every week. It has helped him to become more outgoing and he is proud to show us what he learns after every lesson. Avant-Garde has proven to be the very best, just ask any of their students, young or old!!!!! ”
